Why Not Let Iran Have Nuclear Weapons With a Caveat

The Iranians want to build nuclear weapons, as a deterrent and to show their power as a nation. Of course, their President has also stated that he wanted to “blow Israel off the map.” That’s pretty problematic if we are hoping to have peace in the Middle East, especially considering that Iran has funded Hezbollah and Hamas to the tune of $100 million per year, and has recently been caught sending 500 tons of weapons into Lebanon.

So, the IAEA, UN, United States, NATO, and the rest of the free world doesn’t like the idea of Iran having nuclear weapons, because they will probably give them to their proxy terrorists. There seems to be no solution for this, and even if Iran promises to stop making nuclear WMD, it’s doubtful they will. After all, they have already hidden much of their nuclear weapons manufacturing facilities from the world.

Not long ago, an acquaintance of mine said that perhaps we should let the Iranians produce their nuclear weapons, and figure out a way to prevent them from using them in the future.

“Sure,” I said, and an acquaintance of mine stated; “Why not let Iran have their Nuclear Weapons with a caveat, that the USA will create 88-ICBMs pointed at Iran’s 88-cities, and if a nuclear weapons goes off somewhere with that radio-isotope signature from Iran, we will simply launch, and everyone agrees upon this in advance so there are no hard feelings once it happens.”

Do you think the world would ever go for that? Obviously not, and if the Iranians are exporting nuclear WMD, a missile defense shield around Israel or all the neighboring countries won’t do any good, and eventually the Iranians will have nuclear missiles that can reach halfway around the globe, that’s only a matter of time, within a decade or less.

It’s obvious that the free world does not have the backbone to prevent this, and yet, we engage in senseless negotiations and talk, when we already know we cannot trust the Iranians in any of their promises. We know from both long-term history, and recent history that they do not honor their verbal agreements, or written contracts when it comes to weapon proliferation. Indeed, I hope you will please consider this.
