Are the Negotiators in the Iran Nuclear Weapon Talks Making a Deal With the Devil?
Dancing with the devil may not be such a wise idea in the case of the nuclear weapons negotiations with Iran and the free-world. And to that point, I do have one question for the International Community; “How can we trust them now?” Iran has lied to the IAEA and stood up in front of the UN while Amedinejad gave a speech of denial, when a few days later the intelligence was revealed of a second underground uranium enrichment facility.
And for question number two; “How do we know that is all there is?” After all, Iran is a rather large country with some 88-major cities and lots of places to hide stuff too. Additionally, Iran has never told the truth or been completely truthful with even its nearby neighboring nations, much less Middle Eastern nations. And did you know Iran has sent insurgents into both Afghanistan and Iraq with weapons used to kill US Troops and NATO forces; this after they had promised to stand-down.
So, I do not understand why we should bother attempting to negotiate with a foe that wishes us ill, lies to us at every turn, and even funds proxy terrorist organizations to boot. Now some might say I am over blowing the reality here and that the US and other nations which use the “trust but verify” motif have done well in the past. However, let me remind everyone that the Iranian leadership cannot be trusted, has proven to be untrustworthy, and wishes to see Israel “blown off the map” as per Amedinejad himself.
Quite frankly that’s just scary stuff, and we are fools to allow them to dictate this chess game’s rules. This weakness of ours in our attempts to be non-confrontational is going to come back and bite us in the butt, and if a mushroom cloud appears over Televiv, it will be our fault for not using better judgment. Please consider all this.
