Are you up to be a Freelancer or not?

In some countries, it is hard to maintain the population with the number of jobs opened. Due to increase in prices, few people worked 2 to 3 jobs to sustain paying bill and buying basic necessities.

The problem, however, while some men work extra, others bummed out and cannot find a job while others are taking the easy way of being a freelancer.

The term for people who pursue their profession, not with long-term commitment to any employer, but could work for several companies is called a Freelancer or Freelance Worker.

The internet has the greatest impact on this kind of job as most workers work online and do their business right there.

Over 10.3 million employees in the US work as an independent contractors or freelance workers yet there are disadvantages and advantages in working with the said conditions.

Advantages of working Freelanced

  • Compared to regular workers, a Freelancer has the comfort of enjoying their jobs and at times has the benefit of choosing their own schedule and subject to work on.
  • Often written in the freelanced contract, the contractor employee/s has the chance to choose whether to work in the office or in the comfort of his home and at times, they can be their own boss.
  • You can save up from commuting or even gas on that matter because you do not need to leave home if the company is open for home-based freelance employee and get this: the dream uniform—pajamas– of every employee can be worn by Freelancer since they are working from home.

Disadvantages of working by yourself

  • Unluckily, it is not all that happy working with your pajamas at work. Since you are working freelanced, you do not have a fixed employer who will arrange your taxes. You are bound to do your own budgeting for today (taxes) and for the future (retirement).
  • Company benefits are also a problem for freelancer, as they are not covered by the said contracts. So you need to do your own insurance for health and pension while the bonuses and holiday pays cannot be claimed as well.
